Hair And The Blog: How long have you been in the industry?
Dumpy: I have been cutting hair since 7th grade, and taken it serious as a career for about 4 years.
Hair And The Blog: What would you like to see more of in the industry?
Dumpy: I would like to see more love and respect from other barbers. It’s not a race.
Hair And The Blog?: Where did you receive training?
Dumpy: I started my training at Flawless Barber School, and had to start completely over at Labarberia Institute of Hair.
Hair And The Blog: What’s your biggest compliment about being in this industry?
Dumpy: The respect, because you make people feel good.
Hair And The Blog: Who/what inspires me?
Dumpy: My children because they were in tune with what I was doing seeing people come to the house to get their haircut. Meechie, because she went full fledge with the Barbershop, salons, etc. I want to do the same thing with Barber Shops.
Hair And The Blog: What should we be expecting from you?
Dumpy: A difference. An experience.
